Trip Shield is an optional paid service offered by FlightsMojo that allows you to apply for a refund of your base fare + airline taxes (excluding convenience/service fees, surcharges, ancillaries, and the Trip Shield fee) if you are unable to travel due to defined emergency circumstances. Trip Shield is not an insurance policy. Refunds are discretionary and subject to these Terms & Conditions. By purchasing Trip Shield, you acknowledge and agree to the following restrictions and obligations.
Refunds under Trip Shield are only considered if you are unable to travel due to one of the specific reasons listed below, AND you provide valid documentary evidence. Self-declarations, handwritten notes, screenshots without official validation, or unverifiable documents are not accepted.
Illness or accidental injury affecting you, a person in your booking, or someone in your immediate family member.
Unexpected worsening of a known condition after booking.
Unforeseen complication arising after booking.
Death of passenger, another person on the booking, or an immediate family member
Unforeseen disruption/failure of public bus, train, tram, or ferry preventing timely arrival at the airport.
Cancellation or major delay of a connecting flight that prevents reaching your booked flight.
Government-issued travel warning that makes travel unsafe.
Burglary, fire, flood, or malicious damage at your home within 48h of departure.
Theft of passport, visa, ID, or essential documents.
Unexpected compulsory redundancy after 2+ years in permanent employment.
Compulsory jury duty or witness summons.
Recall to duty by Armed Forces, Reserves, Police, Fire, or Ambulance service.
Compulsory relocation by employer making travel impractical.
Unexpected exam date change by recognized educational board.
Trip Shield fee is strictly non-refundable.
Refund amount limited to base fare + airline taxes only.
Trip Shield does not apply within 48 hours of the scheduled departure, except in the event of the death of the passenger or an immediate family member.
Refunds are at FlightsMojo's absolute discretion.
Claims without valid, official, original evidence will be rejected.
Self-certifications or unverifiable documents are not accepted.
Refund not available if ticket was booked in error, no longer needed, or due to general change of mind.
Trip Shield does not cover:
No-shows or failure to check in on time.
Visa rejections without official documentation.
Expired, invalid, or forgotten travel documents.
Voluntary cancellations or personal preference changes.
War, terrorism, strikes, riots, civil commotion, industrial action.
Natural disasters without official travel bans.
Cyber incidents, fraud, or data loss.
Any event known at time of booking.
Submit claim via Trip Shield Claim Portal.
Provide booking reference, passenger details, and reason for claim.
Upload all supporting evidence in PDF or scanned format.
FlightsMojo may request additional documents.
Claims are reviewed within 25-30 working days.
If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method or verified bank account.
If evidence is incomplete, forged, or unverifiable, the claim will be rejected outright.
Decisions of FlightsMojo are final and binding.

refers to persons residing with the insured in the same domestic arrangement or family unit.
means the published price of the ticket before addition of taxes, surcharges, ancillary services, or service fees.
refers to official documentation issued by a competent authority such as a licensed medical practitioner, police department, court of law, or employer, validating the claim circumstances.
include passport, visa, government-issued ID, travel permit, or any document legally required to board or enter the destination country.
